Laps for Literacy 5K: A Fundraiser

Over $3,000 in donations and sign ups were raised.

After 5K costs, $1500 will go to Walker Literacy Center.

This (super fun!) 5K was intended to not only provide underprivileged children in Detroit with new books but also to display enthusiasm for learning, in which reading plays a large role.

Reading is stimulates the mind, improves vocabulary and memory, increases knowledge, and relieves stress. These are benefits we believe everyone should have access to.
